My name is Ernest Ibe. I live in Texas, United States with a family of 5, that is, myself, my wife and my 3 kids. The drive to provide my family with the best life drove me in search of a side hustle or business that could give me these three things; financial freedom; so I can afford whatever is required to take care of them and keep them happy and at the same time help the world around me, time freedom; so I can really be in my children’s lives and watch them grow up, and location freedom; so I can travel around the world with my family and still be able to make money regardless of location.

In 2017 I set out to accomplish the three things I mentioned above. My search led me to the online marketing world and investing several tens of thousands of dollars into courses, coaching, and programs. I got into the drop shipping model, Amazon FBA and digital marketing agency model but found no success, in terms of being profitable in any of these business models.

However, I’d be remiss to say that I failed, or my investment was a waste, because it really wasn’t. It turns out that I got something else for my investment which is the experiences I acquired throughout the journey, they’re just priceless. So, in my opinion, nothing wasted. I guess I’d say I paid the same amount people pay to get the 4–5-year college degree but the difference was that I had the experiences as my teachers.

Notwithstanding, FOMO (fear of missing out) and SOS (shiny object syndrome) also played a big role in my struggle to make a success of my initial online business attempts. If you’re a beginner in the online world it is very likely that you might experience FOMO and SOS, if you’re not already going through it.

Since I mentioned them let me just quickly explain what they are in case you don’t already know.
FOMO- Fear of missing out. This is where you’re subconsciously tricked into purchasing an online course, program, coaching etc thinking you’d miss out if you don’t. Marketers often trigger this action in prospects by using the ‘urgency’ tactics in their advertising/marketing.

SOS- Shiny object syndrome. This is when you see an ad online and, in your head, you’re thinking ‘wow, this might be the course, program, coaching, etc that would really make me the millions of dollars’ and then you go ahead to purchase it.

The effect of FOMO & SOS is that you purchase several programs and then you’re unable to focus on all of them, which makes you spread yourself thin and at the end of the day you’re accomplishing nothing, hence you’re discouraged that you have invested all this money into programs and course and you’re getting nothing out of them. As you journey with me my goal is to help you avoid or navigate all that.

Long story short, since early 2022 I have started seeing consistent success in my online businesses with the affiliate and other marketing models. I will be sharing tips, tricks and nuggets with you to help you through your online marketing journey. Sign up for my newsletter.
